This 85-hour Pre-Licensing Course will prepare you for the North Carolina State Real Estate Licensing Exam. It is an introduction to real estate principles with heavy emphasis on real estate brokerage law and practice. After successfully completing the course, students will have the basic knowledge and skill sets necessary to pass the state exam and act as a provisional real estate broker in the state of North Carolina.

Pre-Licensing Course Overview

  • Our Pre-Licensing Course begins at an introductory level.
  • It provides a strong foundation in NC real estate brokerage law and practice.
  • Major topics include basic real property law, property taxation, land use controls, environmental hazards, contracts, financing, closing transactions, valuation, fair housing, property management, taxation, construction, insurance and other topics.
  • This class is taught by award-winning instructor, Betsy Whitcraft, whose students have earned an +80% first time pass rate on the state exam for two consecutive years.
  • Instruction is primarily through Power Point presentation. A study disc and take-home tests will help prepare students to pass the state exam.
  • Tutoring and additional math support is available at no extra charge, 1 hour per student available free!
  • A course final exam is required in order to take the state exam.
  • A Provisional Broker license is granted to those who pass the state exam with a score of at least 80%.
  • Class meets for Wed 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for 6 weeks
